This wasn't really a romance story to me, but instead a story with a romance in it. Everything was told from Nichol's POV which might have been interesting had he been living in the city and going to college. However, for a book this long living on a farm, it just felt too long. I really liked all of the characters, but didn't like that we barely got to know Cam. Most of the story was spent talking about time on the farm, but not enough details to make me understand what happened all day. A lot of time throughout the book was also spent describing the beauty of the island. At some points, it felt like I was getting an undesired history lesson. I would certainly read more by this author since I think she is very talented, but can't say that this was my favorite.
