I was a bit surprised that I ended up loving this story so much. The first 7 chapters, when Aiden was getting physically and psychologically abused by Scott, was extremely difficult to read. However, I also felt that it was the only way the rest of the story would have felt believable to me. Otherwise, I'm afraid I wouldn't have really understood the damage done by Scott, and some of Aiden's future actions would have been really frustrating. Once he hooks up with Keaton, the story turned into a wonderful romance. Keaton has his work cut out for him taking care of Aiden and helping him to develop his self-confidence again. It was really very sweet how much Keaton and Aiden cared for each other and learned how to communicate with each other.
